Having known very little about the details and skill of Pilates, I've been immersed more than I ever thought I would. Emma teaches with such passion and thoroughness, it's hard not to be enthralled. It's a truly full course with loads of content and information.

The perfect hybrid of professional teaching with fun! I wanted to be a Pilates instructor because I enjoyed Pilates and this course affirms that choice. Emma has curated a course that covers all bases of Pilates from history to practicality whilst nurturing us as individual instructors to play to our strengths and not become carbon copies.

- Holly Morton

It is a very comprehensive, hands-on course where you dive in and take on the challenge of teaching from day one. Emma has created a space where you feel safe, seen, and free to make mistakes and learn.

The Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Mat Pilates is awarded by Active IQ. It is the industry-standard entry-level qualification for Pilates instructors in the UK. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to register with CIMSPA and obtain professional indemnity insurance to begin teaching.

This is what gets you from where you are now to standing in front of a class as a qualified, insured instructor.

  • Active IQ e-learning access including anatomy and physiology
  • Two-day Workshop 1 at The Pilates Corner, Baldock
  • One-day Workshop 2 at The Pilates Corner, Baldock
  • Learner Achievement Portfolio (LAP) with assessor marking throughout
  • Practical teaching assessment
  • Active IQ certification on completion
  • Student community portal access throughout

The qualification is made up of two assessed components - the Learner Achievement Portfolio and a practical teaching assessment. Both must be passed to achieve the qualification.
