Terms and Conditions

Definitions

• Pilates Prep School - The monthly membership programme operated by The Hertfordshire School of Pilates, providing access to a monthly live coaching call, call recordings, a growing mini-course library, and the Pilates Prep School community.
• HSP - The Hertfordshire School of Pilates, trading name of The Pilates Corner Ltd, based at 15a October House, Baldock Industrial Estate, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6NG.
• Member - Any individual who has signed up to Pilates Prep School and is within an active paid membership period.
• Membership period - The monthly billing cycle beginning on the date of first payment and renewing on the same date each subsequent month.

Membership and eligibility

Pilates Prep School is open to any qualified Pilates instructor, regardless of where they trained. Membership is not restricted to HSP graduates.

Membership is personal to the individual and is not transferable. Access must not be shared with or passed on to any other person.

Payment

The Pilates Prep School membership fee is £49 + VAT per month. The total amount charged each month will be £49 plus VAT at the prevailing rate.

Payment is taken automatically each month on the same date as the first payment. The first payment is taken immediately on sign-up. By signing up, you authorise HSP to collect payment automatically on each renewal date for as long as your membership continues.

Payments are processed via a secure third-party payment provider. HSP does not store card or bank account details directly.

If a payment fails, HSP will attempt to contact you to resolve the issue. HSP reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access if payment cannot be collected after reasonable attempts to resolve the failure.

Minimum subscription term

Pilates Prep School has a minimum subscription term of 3 months. You are committed to paying for the first 3 monthly billing periods from the date of your first payment regardless of whether you choose to cancel during that period.

After the 3-month minimum term has been completed, your membership continues on a rolling monthly basis and can be cancelled at any time in accordance with the cancellation policy set out in Section 5.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pilates Prep School membership at any time after the 3-month minimum term has been completed.

To cancel, you must notify HSP in writing by email to info@thehertfordshireschoolofpilates.co.uk no less than 7 days before your next payment date. Cancellation requests received within 7 days of the next payment date will take effect at the end of the following billing period.

On cancellation, your access to Pilates Prep School will continue until the end of the final paid membership period. Access will not be extended beyond that date.

HSP reserves the right to cancel or suspend your membership at any time if you are found to be in breach of these terms, including but not limited to sharing access, sharing recordings, or breaching the acceptable use terms set out in Section 7. In the event of cancellation by HSP due to a breach, no refund will be issued for any remaining paid period.

Access and content

On joining Pilates Prep School, members receive access to:

• One live group coaching call per month hosted by Emma Lovelock. The call is primarily Q&A - members are invited to submit questions in advance using the question form pinned in the community. Where no questions are submitted, a relevant topic will be covered instead. Confirmed dates and booking links are posted in the community events area.
• Recordings of all Pilates Prep School calls, made available to members following each session and stored within the community for future reference.
• A growing library of mini-courses covering practical topics relevant to working Pilates instructors, including the discovery call script, marketing, pricing, and building a sustainable teaching practice. New content is added on an ongoing basis.
• The Pilates Prep School private community, hosted within the HSP community portal.

HSP will make reasonable efforts to deliver one call per month as described. In the event that a call needs to be rescheduled or cancelled due to circumstances beyond HSP's control, HSP will give as much notice as reasonably possible and will endeavour to reschedule where practicable. No refund or credit will be issued for a single missed or rescheduled call.

The mini-course library is provided on a best-efforts basis. HSP does not guarantee the addition of new content by any specific date. Existing content may be updated, revised, or removed at HSP's discretion.

Access to Pilates Prep School is provided through the HSP community portal. Access is contingent on maintaining an active paid membership and will cease at the end of any membership period that is not renewed or following cancellation as set out in Section 5.

Acceptable use

By joining Pilates Prep School, you agree to the following:

• All call recordings, mini-course content, materials, resources, and content shared within Pilates Prep School are for your personal use only. You must not share, reproduce, distribute, publish, or make available any Pilates Prep School content to any third party in any format.
• You must not share your login credentials or allow any other person to access the community portal, call recordings, or mini-course library using your account.
• You must treat all other members with respect. HSP reserves the right to remove any member from the community whose conduct is deemed harmful, disrespectful, or disruptive to other members.
• Information shared by other members within the Pilates Prep School community is confidential to the group. You must not share, reproduce, or discuss any personal information or disclosures made by other members outside of the community.
• You must not use the Pilates Prep School community to promote third-party products, services, or courses without prior written permission from HSP.

Breach of these acceptable use terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your membership without refund.

Intellectual property

All content delivered through Pilates Prep School, including but not limited to call recordings, mini-courses, written materials, resources, and any other materials produced by HSP or Emma Lovelock, is the intellectual property of The Pilates Corner Ltd.

Nothing in these terms grants you any right to copy, reproduce, adapt, distribute, or create derivative works from any Pilates Prep School content. Personal use for the purpose of your own professional development as a Pilates instructor is permitted. Any other use requires prior written consent from HSP.

Limitation of liability

The content delivered through Pilates Prep School is provided for professional development and informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional, legal, financial, or medical advice.

HSP accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your reliance on information provided through Pilates Prep School, including but not limited to any business decisions made on the basis of content discussed in calls, mini-courses, or community materials.

HSP's total liability to you in connection with your Pilates Prep School membership shall not exceed the total amount paid by you in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes HSP's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Data protection

HSP will process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data will be used to manage your membership, process payments, and communicate with you about Pilates Prep School.

HSP will not share your personal data with third parties except where necessary to process your payment or where required by law.

Changes to these terms

HSP reserves the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time. You will be notified of any material changes by email to the address registered on your account, with no less than 30 days notice before the changes take effect.

Your continued membership after the date on which updated terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of those terms. If you do not wish to accept any updated terms, you may cancel your membership before the changes take effect in accordance with Section 5.

Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
