Enrolment on a course is confirmed when we have received your deposit payment and issued written confirmation. A place is not reserved until the deposit has been received.
We reserve the right to decline an application for enrolment at our discretion, for example where we have reason to believe a course is not suitable for the applicant. In such cases, any deposit paid will be refunded in full.
All students must be aged 18 or over at the time of enrolment.
You may upgrade your pathway at any point during your course by contacting us. Any difference in course fees will be invoiced and must be paid before upgraded benefits (such as Graduate Circle access or 1:1 mentoring) are made available to you.
Pathways may not be downgraded once you have accessed the online learning portal. This is because a significant portion of the course content and resources will have been made available to you at that point. If you have any concerns about your chosen pathway before accessing the portal, please contact us to discuss your options.
A deposit of £199 + VAT is required to secure your place on any pathway. This deposit is in addition to the pathway price and is non-refundable except in the circumstances set out in Section 5.
| Pathway | Price (excl. VAT) |
|---|---|
| Foundation Instructor | £1,499 + VAT |
| Professional Instructor | £2,499 + VAT |
| Signature Instructor Mentorship | £3,499 + VAT |
All prices are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Instalment payment plans are available across all pathways. Instalment schedules will be agreed at the time of enrolment. All payments must be completed in full before your assessment date. Failure to complete payment may result in your assessment being deferred.
If you choose to withdraw from the course after enrolment, the full remaining course fee balance becomes due immediately upon withdrawal, regardless of how many instalments have been paid. Enrolment on an instalment plan does not reduce or limit your financial obligation to pay the total course fee in full.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe (card payments) and GoCardless (direct debit and bank transfer). We do not store card details on our systems. Stripe payments are subject to Stripe's own terms of service, available at stripe.com. GoCardless payments are subject to GoCardless's own terms of service, available at gocardless.com.
Cohort dates are published on our website and confirmed at the time of enrolment. By enrolling on a specific cohort, you commit to attending the following in-person sessions:
All in-person sessions are held at The Pilates Corner, 15a October House, Baldock Industrial Estate, Baldock, Hertfordshire, SG7 6NG unless we notify you otherwise in writing.
We reserve the right to adjust cohort dates in exceptional circumstances. We will give you as much notice as possible and will work with you to find a suitable alternative date. No refund will be due where a reasonable alternative is offered.
By signing the Enrolment Form you are agreeing to undertake your training with The Hertfordshire School of Pilates. You have the right to cancel your course providing we receive written notification within 14 days, commencing the day after you sign the Enrolment Form. After those 14 days, no cancellations are permitted and no refunds will be given.
For courses that include online Anatomy and Physiology study, the course is deemed to have commenced 14 days after the date on which you signed your enrolment form, regardless of when you first access the online portal.
If you cancel within the 14-day cancellation period, the following charges apply:
If you cancel within the 14-day cancellation period, any physical training materials supplied to you (including printed manuals, workbooks, or other physical resources) must be returned to us at your own expense within 14 days of your cancellation. All items must be returned in the condition in which you received them. If items are not returned or are returned in a damaged or incomplete condition, you will be charged for their replacement value.
Where a refund is due following cancellation within the 14-day period, it will be processed within 14 working days of us receiving your cancellation notification and, where applicable, the return of any physical materials.
All training places are non-transferable between different individuals. Your enrolment is personal to you and cannot be passed to another person.
All training is non-transferable between different course products or pathways, except where a pathway upgrade is permitted under Section 2 of these terms.
To request cancellation within the 14-day period, please complete our cancellation form here: Cancellation Request Form. Alternatively, you may notify us in writing by email to [email protected], clearly stating your name, cohort, and your intention to cancel.
After the 14-day cancellation period has expired, no cancellations are permitted and no refunds will be given, including for any instalments already paid or remaining. If you are paying by instalment plan, the full remaining course fee balance becomes due immediately upon withdrawal.
If you withdraw after your first workshop day, no refund will be due for any fees already paid, as course materials and tutor time will have been fully committed.
If you are unable to continue with your cohort due to illness, injury, or other serious personal circumstances, you may request to defer to a future cohort. Deferral requests are considered at our discretion and are subject to availability. One deferral per enrolment is permitted at no additional charge. Subsequent deferrals may incur an administration fee.
In the unlikely event that we cancel a course and are unable to offer a suitable alternative cohort, we will refund all fees paid including the deposit. We will not be liable for any other costs you may have incurred in connection with your enrolment (such as travel, accommodation, or loss of earnings).
Where a scholarship applicant is offered and accepts a complimentary upgrade to the Professional Instructor Pathway, the price payable shall be that of the Foundation Instructor Pathway selected at the time of enrolment. The upgrade entitles the student to all inclusions of the Professional Pathway, including 12 months of Graduate Circle group coaching, at no additional cost.
This upgrade is personal to the individual student, non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for a cash equivalent or applied to any other product or service. The upgrade offer is made at Emma Lovelock's sole discretion and is subject to availability. Standard cancellation and refund terms apply to the Foundation Pathway price paid.
Our Level 3 Mat Pilates qualification is accredited by Active IQ, a leading Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. Certification is issued upon successful completion of all course requirements, including the practical assessment and portfolio submission.
We cannot guarantee that certification will be achieved. Certification is dependent on you meeting the required standard in your assessment and completing all elements of the course satisfactorily.
If you are unsuccessful at your first assessment attempt, you will be given the opportunity to resit. We will advise you of any associated fees and timescales at the time.
By enrolling, you agree to:
We reserve the right to remove a student from the course without refund where their conduct is deemed to be unacceptable, unsafe, or detrimental to other students.
